Job Description
Tenable is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join their team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and high availability of Tenable's cloud products in private cloud environments, particularly for US Government cloud customers. The Staff Site Reliability Engineer will collaborate with cloud engineers and participate in the software development lifecycle to develop solutions to existing business problems.Role involves:
  • Ensuring the reliability and high availability of Tenable cloud products in private cloud environments.
  • Responding to support escalations and troubleshooting complex technical problems.
  • Developing software, tools, and scripts to automate deployment, management, and monitoring of production systems.
  • Collaborating with cloud engineers to understand new cloud technologies and propose solutions.
  • Driving standardization efforts across multiple disciplines and services.
  • Documenting and performing system upgrades and application updates.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation for 24x7 availability of production systems.
  • Remediating infrastructure and container security vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • 6+ years of related SRE experience.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar IaC technologies.
  • 2+ years of experience with platform development in compliance with FedRAMP requirements.
  • 3+ years deploying public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) preferred.
  • Experience with orchestration tooling such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Docker or similar container solution.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field.
  • Strong experience with Agile software development.
  • Strong background in bash scripting and experience in higher-level scripting languages.
  • Experience leading projects through to completion.
