Job Description
Jobber is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead the Back-end Foundations team within the Production Engineering department. This role involves managing a team of 5 engineers, focusing on supporting Jobber's back-end technologies and enabling scalability for internal teams and ecosystem partners. The Manager will report to a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, and will be responsible for team member development, technical direction, and collaboration with stakeholders across the business. - Performance facilitation and team development
- Setting goals and providing coaching to team members
- Participating in recruiting and hiring processes
- Removing roadblocks and building guardrails for the team
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the business
Requirements:
- Established software engineering background with leadership experience
- Strong full-stack technical background, including design and architectural experience
- Deep knowledge and experience in Ruby On Rails environments
- Agility in an agile environment
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Collaboration skills
