Manager, Software Engineering, Back-end Foundations

Job Description

Jobber is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead the Back-end Foundations team within the Production Engineering department. This role involves managing a team of 5 engineers, focusing on supporting Jobber's back-end technologies and enabling scalability for internal teams and ecosystem partners. The Manager will report to a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, and will be responsible for team member development, technical direction, and collaboration with stakeholders across the business. • Performance facilitation and team development
• Setting goals and providing coaching to team members
• Participating in recruiting and hiring processes
• Removing roadblocks and building guardrails for the team
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the business

Requirements:

• Established software engineering background with leadership experience
• Strong full-stack technical background, including design and architectural experience
• Deep knowledge and experience in Ruby On Rails environments
• Agility in an agile environment
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Collaboration skills
