Job Description
xAI is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist to join their team in Memphis, TN. This role is crucial for building and managing the supply chain that supports xAI's cutting-edge AI infrastructure. The Sr. Sourcing Specialist will drive strategic sourcing initiatives to secure high-quality, cost-effective materials and services, ensuring xAI’s rapid growth and operational excellence. This position requires a dynamic, results-driven professional capable of navigating complex supplier negotiations and optimizing procurement processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure critical materials, equipment, and services.
  • Negotiate and manage high-stakes supplier contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to align procurement strategies.
  • Conduct advanced supplier analysis, benchmarking, and market research.
  • Own end-to-end supplier relationship management, including performance monitoring and KPI tracking.
  • Streamline procurement processes, reduce transaction volumes, and implement automation.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx) projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, or contract negotiation; or 6+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven track record in managing high-spend portfolios ($100M+) and negotiating complex supplier contracts.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or PowerBI.
  • Elite communication skills, capable of translating technical and financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Self-starter with a bias for action, able to prioritize and execute multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in technology, AI, or R&D-driven industries is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to tackle ambiguous challenges.
