iFood, a leading Brazilian technology company in Latin America, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their team. This is a remote position.

The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for implementing ETL/ELT solutions, understanding business needs, translating demands into data products, creating scalable data products, and building mathematical models to support decision-making. The role involves working independently on data projects, from identifying requirements to data modeling and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Implement ETL/ELT solutions and data integration between systems and diverse data sources.
• Understand key business needs and the main drivers and indicators that influence them.
• Translate business demands and analyses into data products and intelligence for consumption, delivering relevant insights for decision-making.
• Create and manage efficient and scalable data products.
• Work independently on data projects, from identifying requirements to data modeling and its availability.
• Build and maintain mathematical models that support business decision-making.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, curiosity, and problem-solving orientation.
• Build and maintain robust infrastructure and services that support data processes.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in building ETLs in PySpark/SQL in an optimized manner.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Databricks Dashboards, Thoughtspot, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Data Studio, etc.).
• Knowledge of distributed data systems and parallel processing (Spark, Databricks, etc.).
• Ability to translate business concepts into appropriate quantitative metrics (e.g., OKRs, KPIs, etc.).
• Good software engineering practices (e.g., documentation, versioning, unit tests, clean code, etc.).
• Knowledge of statistics and modeling.
• Ability to generate actionable insights connected to the business.
• Good storytelling ability.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills with business areas and technical teams.
