Senior Data Engineer, Data Platform

Job Description

VTEX is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Platform team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data infrastructure to empower data-driven decision-making. The Senior Data Engineer will lead the development and implementation of modern data solutions from end-to-end, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of VTEX's data platform.

Role involves:

• Designing and implementing modern data architectures (data warehouses, data lakes, data lakehouses).
• Building and optimizing ETL pipelines using tools like Airflow, Dagster, or similar.
• Working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, leadership, and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience designing and implementing modern data architectures.
• Proficiency in building and optimizing ETL pipelines.
• Deep understanding of data modeling concepts.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming (Python).
• Strong communication skills.
• Academic background in Engineering courses.
