VTEX is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a talented engineering team focused on enhancing the development platform (VTEX IO) and database product (Master Data). This role is crucial for shaping the architecture's future, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
The Engineering Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and drive the technology vision forward. As a hands-on leader, they will contribute to the technical direction of projects, mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
This individual will be joining a group of skilled, highly collaborative engineers split into two focused teams: one dedicated to Master Data and the other to our development platform (VTEX IO) for e-commerce implementation and customization.
Role Involves:
- Maintaining and enhancing the development platform (VTEX IO).
- Maintaining and enhancing the database product (Master Data).
- Shaping the future of VTEX's architecture for scalability and security.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations).
- Mentoring and developing team members.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of developing engineers and fostering growth.
- Solid experience with database architecture and development platforms.
- Strong understanding of scalability, security, and performance optimization.
- Skills in aligning technical projects with business objectives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proactive and solution-oriented problem-solving abilities.
