Engineering Strategy Specialist at VTEX

VTEX is seeking an Engineering Strategy Specialist to play a strategic role within its Engineering department. This role reports to the Senior Director of Engineering and focuses on leading the development and evolution of engineering initiatives and processes, to drive efficiency and technical maturity across the organization. The primary challenge is ensuring alignment among stakeholders involved in strategic decisions, providing them with the resources needed for optimal solutions. Strong collaboration and mediation skills with Engineering Managers and Software Engineers are vital.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Engineering leadership team to focus on strategic engineering themes.
• Mapping the context, identifying problems, and engaging relevant stakeholders.
• Developing and documenting solutions aligned with the company goals.
• Leading iterations and driving the implementation of solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in technical leadership and engineering process.
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices and quality assurance.
• Experience with technical performance metrics.
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proactive, results-oriented mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with engineering rituals.
