Staff Software Engineer, Cloud

Job Description

VTEX is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Cloud team in Brazil. This role is crucial for enhancing platform resilience and ensuring the availability of systems used by over 3,500 online stores across 43 countries. The engineer will serve as a technical mentor, applying SRE best practices and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system architecture and operational efficiency.This role involves:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure and automation solutions.
• Monitoring system performance and implementing proactive measures.
• Fostering a culture of reliability within product teams.
• Delivering shared internal-facing observability solutions.
• Managing, administering, evolving, and monitoring foundational infrastructure.

Requirements include:

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Go, Python, Java).
• Strong software development skills.
• Experience with extensive infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks at scale.
• Experience in software architecture and cloud computing.
• Academic background in Engineering courses (Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields).
