Job Description
Lightspeed is seeking an Account Manager to join their sales team in Montreal. This role focuses on managing retail accounts, ensuring client retention, reducing churn, selling additional modules, and securing timely subscription renewals. The Account Manager will also be responsible for upgrading eligible clients to more advanced software platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Presenting software solutions, including new POS products, add-on modules, and upgrades.
- Building trust with clients and identifying upselling opportunities.
- Negotiating contracts and closing deals to grow client accounts.
- Guiding eligible clients through the transition from basic to advanced platforms.
- Collaborating with customer success managers to identify and prevent churn.
- Monitoring key business performance indicators.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a sales quota-driven role.
- Understanding of consultative, solution-oriented sales in a SaaS environment.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce and other technological tools for supply chain management.
- Ability to foster a positive, high-performance culture.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfort communicating with senior management.
- A desire for feedback and continuous improvement.
- A strong work ethic and a drive to succeed.
- Fluency in French is an asset.
