Data Scientist Coach (Director+)

Mento is seeking experienced data science leaders to join their team as Data Scientist Coaches. This role involves forming 1:1 partnerships with members to help them achieve their goals, improve leadership skills, communicate effectively, and enhance overall job satisfaction. Mento requires all coaches to participate in their ICF-certified coach training program.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing 1:1 coaching through virtual sessions
• Participating in ongoing training
• Communicating with members between sessions
• Sharing coaching tools and insights
• Acting as an ambassador for the Mento community

Requirements:

• 20+ years of experience managing data science teams and coaching individuals (coaching certification is a plus)
• Passion for helping people advance in the workplace
• High emotional IQ and ability to create a safe space for vulnerability
• Growth mindset and excitement about expanding coaching skills
• Comfortable in a constantly-changing startup environment
• Ability to dedicate a minimum of 12+ hours per month to coaching at Mento for at least 24 months
