Job Description
SurveyMonkey is seeking a Fraud & Abuse Analyst to protect its platform from misuse. This role involves becoming an expert in product abuse trends, advocating for solutions, and predicting outcomes for new feature development. The Analyst will identify and categorize emerging trends, communicating findings to stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor fraud-related alerts, assess root cause and risk, and report key performance metrics.
- Identify emerging fraud and abuse trends and recommend effective solutions.
- Take ownership of content review workflows and optimization.
- Collaborate with machine learning and data science teams to improve models or predictions.
- Partner on policy updates and participate in wider policy implementation.
- Participate in threat modeling sessions to identify potential abuse-related concerns.
- Manage incident response on a rotational, on-call basis.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of Trust & Safety or fraud-related experience in SaaS or a related industry.
- Familiarity with platform abuse-related issues and mitigations.
- Strong orientation toward problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to evaluate abusive content and take action without close supervision.
- Ability to respond to occasional event escalations during non-business hours.
