Oak Essentials is seeking a Public Relations Intern to support their Communications team. This internship offers real-world experience in the beauty industry, helping to shape the brand's voice and visibility. The intern will work on various public relations initiatives, from product launches to media outreach and brand awareness campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain media lists
- Draft editor pitches and outreach materials
- Research relevant press contacts and coverage trends
- Help coordinate product send-outs
- Monitor online and print media for brand mentions
- Track and compile press coverage
- Support events and activations
- Participate in weekly team meetings and brainstorms
- Keep a pulse on social media and beauty industry trends
Requirements:
- Passion for the beauty industry, media, and current trends
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Experience with Google Workspace; PR tools like Muck Rack or Launchmetrics a plus
- Previous PR, marketing, journalism, or communications experience preferred
