Vonage is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Engineering team. The Engineer will contribute to a fast-growing team focused on high-performance, distributed systems and real-time data processing. The Vonage Verify API team is expanding to accelerate product development, focusing on new channels, enhanced anti-fraud measures, and integration with Networks APIs.This role involves:
- Creating scalable microservices to support growth.
- Proposing scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions.
- Estimating effort for new product features.
- Implementing effective testing strategies.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to documentation.
- Staying updated with industry trends.
- Excellent software engineering skills in Go, Java, or Kotlin.
- Experience with cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication skills.
- A strong focus on testing.
- Understanding of Object Oriented Design and design patterns.
- Experience with multi-threaded architectures, web services, and caching.
- Willingness to learn and use different technologies.
- Knowledge of Continuous Deployment tools and methodologies.
- Experience with public cloud, AWS advantageous.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Practical experience deploying code using Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
