Job Description
Mento is seeking senior software engineering leaders to serve as Engineering Coaches. This role involves partnering with members to help them achieve their goals, improve leadership and communication skills, solve problems, and enhance job satisfaction. New coaches will participate in Mento's ICF-certified coach training program to learn their coaching methodology.
Role Involves:
- Providing 1:1 coaching through virtual sessions.
- Participating in ongoing training to improve coaching skills.
- Communicating with members via email or chat.
- Sharing coaching tools and insights within the Mento community.
- Acting as an ambassador of the Mento community with kindness and respect.
Requirements:
- 20+ years of experience managing engineering teams and coaching individuals.
- Senior leadership experience (Director, VP, or similar).
- Passion for helping people advance in their careers.
- High emotional IQ and self-awareness.
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn coaching skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to dedicate 12+ hours per month to coaching.
- Ability to work with Mento for a minimum of 24 months.
- Based in North America or Europe.
