Job Description
GitLab, an open core software company, is seeking a Commercial Mid-Market Account Executive to be the primary point of contact between prospective and existing customers within the mid-market segment (100-1,999 employees). The Account Executive will manage projects ranging from small, fast-growing teams to complex enterprise projects, advising on the journey with GitLab to achieve specific business outcomes. This role involves working closely with the business development team and sales management to manage a broad book of business and exceed client expectations.Responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed quota while fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Articulate the value of GitLab to Mid-Market prospects and customers.
  • Take ownership of the book of business, documenting buying criteria, processes, and next steps.
  • Build a strong pipeline through prospecting activities.
  • Prospect and close new business to expand territory.
  • Ensure adoption of solutions and minimize churn.
  • Collaborate with the Partner ecosystem to drive new business.
  • Create accurate forecasts and drive attendance to events.
  • Contribute to root cause analyses on wins/losses and communicate lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide account leadership.
  • Be the voice of the customer by contributing product ideas.
  • Master MEDPICC and Command of the Message on all opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated progressive experience with SaaS sales.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated, driven, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Preferred experience with Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Alignment with GitLab's values.
  • Ability to travel regularly.
