Job Description
GitLab, an open core software company, is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to join their AMER Enterprise Team. This role focuses on supporting GitLab’s strategic large prospects and customers, providing account leadership in both pre- and post-sales stages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD automation, secure development practices, and infrastructure modernization.
Responsibilities: - Conduct sales activities, including prospecting and developing opportunities in large/strategic accounts.
- Ensure the successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through strong account management.
- Contribute product ideas to GitLab's public issue tracker, acting as the voice of the customer.
- Generate qualified leads and develop new customers in conjunction with strategic channel partners.
- Prepare activity and forecast reports, contributing to root cause analysis on wins/losses.
- Utilize a consultative approach to address business needs and develop tailored sales proposals.
- Collaborate with Marketing on marketing strategies.
Requirements: - Experience selling into large organizations.
- Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Preferred experience with Git, Software Development Tools, Application Lifecycle Management, or security/App Sec tools.
- Alignment with GitLab's values.
