DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Vonage is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Tel Aviv and contribute to the innovation of cloud communications for businesses worldwide. The ideal candidate will work with feature teams to identify production tasks, refine change requests, and ensure well-understood implementation and rollback plans. They will also capture, scope, and advance tooling, platform modernization, and renovation needs with an automation-first mindset.

The DevOps Engineer will attend change meetings, manage progress and risk, and engage in feature breakdown to ensure DevOps good practices. They will participate in team ceremonies, follow best practices during implementation, and refine runbooks and documentation. The role also involves engaging in learning opportunities to share DevOps good practices and participating in incident resolution and post-mortem sessions.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with feature teams to identify upcoming production tasks.
• Refining change requests and ensuring implementation plans.
• Capturing and scoping tooling and platform modernization needs.
• Attending change meetings and managing progress and risk.
• Engaging in feature breakdown to ensure DevOps good practices.
• Participating in incident resolution and post-mortem sessions.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer.
• A solid understanding of AWS Cloud Architecture.
• Experience working at scale on production infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code provisioning and configuration management.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling.
• Ability to script to solve automation tasks.
• Experience with Docker & Containers.
• Monitoring and alerting experience.
