Job Description
Vercel is seeking a Software Engineer to join their CI/CD team. This role is central to Vercel's operations, focusing on the infrastructure that powers builds at scale. The engineer will enhance performance, improve reliability, and evolve systems critical to developers. This position requires a blend of product thinking and systems work, impacting both internal teams and Vercel's global developer community.
The role involves:
- Building high-performance microservices for the deployment lifecycle.
- Participating in an on-call rotation for the Vercel build pipeline.
- Improving the Deployments user interface.
- Leading projects to enhance CI/CD performance and developer experience.
- Improving the developer experience for both small projects and large monorepos.
- Staying updated on CI/CD technologies and contributing innovative ideas.
- Engaging with the open-source community.
- Writing clean, efficient, tested, and well-documented code.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience building full-stack applications.
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience building intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks like React or Svelte.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with modern frontend development tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Opinions about how to architect scalable codebases.
