Job Description
Rent the Runway is seeking a Director of Finance to play a leadership role within the company. This role is crucial for inventory analysis and optimization, requiring analytical rigor and the ability to present to C-level executives. The Director will partner with buying and inventory planning teams to provide strategic insights into business performance and new initiatives. They will also support quarterly earnings processes, Board of Director materials, and executive team updates.
What this role involves:
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on business performance weekly.
- Building and managing monthly and annual forecasts for inventory spend/costs.
- Tracking and analyzing inventory performance and related financial reporting.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to provide data-driven recommendations.
- Building, maintaining, and overseeing complex financial models.
- Preparing short and long-term financial planning scenarios.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of financial experience.
- Strong financial and analytical background in investment banking, private equity, or FP&A.
- Proficiency in reporting and analysis tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Looker.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, presentation, and mentorship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility and strong interpersonal skills.
