Philo is seeking a Video Product Manager to shape the future of its video experience. The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of technology, content, and user engagement to make Philo the most enjoyable way to watch TV. Responsibilities: - Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Philo's core video viewing experience across all platforms and devices.
- Analyze user behavior, performance data, market trends, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and content teams to create intuitive, high-quality video experiences.
- Define and prioritize product requirements that balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- Measure performance through key metrics, conduct A/B testing, and use data to inform product decisions.
- Optimize quality of experience including: A/V quality, playback reliability, video start-up time, rebuffering rates, and performance excellence across diverse network conditions.
- Champion new features that enhance content discovery, personalization, and viewing experience.
Qualifications: - 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on video or streaming products.
- Strong understanding of VOD and linear streaming, including video streaming protocols like DASH and HLS, DRM (digital rights management), and related technical considerations.
- Experience with OTT/streaming platforms, smart TVs, and mobile video applications.
- Proven track record of shipping successful consumer-facing products.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Passion for television, streaming media, and enhancing how people consume video content.
