Vonage is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to join their team in Wrocław, Poland. This role is crucial for innovating cloud communications for businesses worldwide. The successful candidate will participate in the entire application development lifecycle, with a strong focus on test automation.

The Software Development Engineer in Test will be responsible for introducing and improving automated tests, designing, extending, and maintaining tests, automated test frameworks, and test suites. They will define testing requirements in conjunction with software engineers and the product owner, identify opportunities for technical procedure and tool enhancements, and innovate in best automation and continuous testing practices.

What this role involves:

  • Participating in the entire application development lifecycle with a focus on test automation.
  • Introducing and improving automated tests.
  • Designing, extending, and maintaining tests, automated test frameworks, and test suites.
  • Defining testing requirements in conjunction with software engineers and the product owner.
  • Identifying opportunities for technical procedure and tool enhancements.
  • Innovating in best automation and continuous testing practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience with testing web applications.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues in end-to-end tests within Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Experience documenting APIs using Postman.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Understanding of automated tests.
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies.
  • Familiarity with either Cypress/Playwright or similar.
  • Experience in test management.
  • Experience with observability tooling like Grafana and Kibana.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
