Senior IT Systems Engineer II

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer II to be located onsite at their Albuquerque, NM facility. In this role, the Senior IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and operation of the Windows Server platform and operating system environments in use at Rocket Lab. What this role involves:

• Enabling Rocket Lab Engineers globally by leveraging the latest platform technology.
• Providing subject matter expertise and support for different platforms, operating system environments, and supporting infrastructure.
• Carrying out upgrades and maintenance with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Assisting with and/or managing project planning and deployment for platform initiatives.
• Supporting the Configuration Management function(s) at Rocket Lab through the implementation of Standards.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in IT and a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years total experience).
• 2+ years of experience in a platform-focused technology role.
• Strong knowledge of one or more of the following: VMware, Windows, Configuration Management, Automation.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
