Job Description
Postman is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - IAM to join their Identity and Access Management team. This team is responsible for creating a secure, reliable, and seamless Identity Management Platform for all Postman users. The ideal candidate will have experience developing complex, distributed software applications and a strong understanding of web fundamentals.

Role involves:
  • Building and optimizing auth standards and protocols such as OAuth2.0, OIDC, SCIM, SAML.
  • Contributing to the development of secure, reliable, and scalable IAM platform components.
  • Researching areas such as role engineering and session management.
  • Implementing standardized formats meeting cross-functional AuthN and AuthZ needs.
  • Enabling seamless, secure, and reliable methods of enterprise onboarding.
  • Developing APIs and products in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Performing code reviews and advocating for better software engineering practices.
  • Designing and building internal tooling to ease development and maintenance.

Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience developing complex, distributed software applications.
  • Proficiency with Javascript, node.js, React.Js, and a strong understanding of web fundamentals.
  • Strong knowledge of Database fundamentals.
  • Proven record of building products from scratch.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders.
  • (Bonus) Good understanding of auth products, protocols, and methods (OAuth, SAML, OIDC etc.)
  • (Bonus) Previous experience with User/Team management, role engineering, and access control.
