Vonage is seeking a Senior Wholesale Account Manager to drive the development and strategy of its wholesale A2P SMS business. The role is within the Global Wholesale Team, part of the Carrier Management Team, and focuses on managing key aggregator and partner relationships to support the company's growth in the CPaaS sector.

The Senior Wholesale Account Manager will collaborate with Carrier, Operations, and Enterprise Sales teams to develop and execute regional strategies that optimize cost efficiency and service quality. This role requires a blend of commercial acumen and technical expertise to ensure competitiveness in the global messaging market.

What this role involves:

  • Leading and executing the strategic direction for the A2P SMS wholesale business.
  • Identifying, onboarding, and cultivating relationships with key regional players and aggregators.
  • Aligning procurement and market strategies with Enterprise Sales and Carrier teams.
  • Partnering with the retail sales team to strengthen relationships with large enterprise customers.
  • Collaborating with Routing and Support teams to ensure high-quality service and competitive pricing.
  • Providing expert cost analysis and tailored solutions for large-scale digital native clients.
  • Designing, implementing, and optimising SS7 solutions.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the global SMS wholesale and aggregator markets.
  • Strong knowledge of SS7 signalling protocols, as well as experience with SMS firewall solutions
  • Ability to develop and execute global business strategies.
  • Commercially focused mindset with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven track record in building strategic relationships.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and secure buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Proactive and creative thinker, continuously improving processes.
  • Established connections in the global A2P messaging industry.
