Electrical Harness Installation Engineer

Job Description

Archer Aviation is seeking an Electrical Harness Installation Engineer to join their team in San Jose, California. This role involves designing and installing wire harnesses for Archer's all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The ideal candidate will have experience in the aerospace industry and a strong understanding of industry best practices.Responsibilities:

• Wire harness routing and installation design using 3D CAD (Siemens NX).
• Following industry best practices for wire harness design and installation.
• Selecting industry-standard components for specific design applications.
• Positioning aircraft components for optimal wire routing.
• Providing installation instructions for harness assembly and integration.
• Creating and applying inspection criteria for manufactured and installed components.
• Tracking component changes using configuration and change management skills.
• Developing custom parts to resolve wire routing challenges.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in aircraft wiring engineering and design.
• Experience with 3D CAD software and electrical routing modules (Siemens NX preferred).
• Experience with Wiring CAD software (Mentor Graphics Capital, HarnessXC and Logic).
• Hands-on experience in fabricating, installing, and inspecting harnesses.

Archer offers:

• A base pay between $115,200.00 - $144,000.00.
