Job Description
Pulley is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead its Expansion engineering team, focusing on leveraging AI to build impactful solutions. The ideal candidate will shape the engineering culture and product roadmap, managing a team of engineers developing AI-powered applications.   • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers/managers
  • Partner with product and design to translate complex concepts into simple, intuitive products
  • Develop and implement engineering frameworks and processes that enable team success
  • Build and scale high-performing engineering teams through thoughtful hiring and development
  • Drive technical excellence and innovation across the Expansion engineering team
  • Balance team development with product delivery, viewing both as equally important responsibilities
  • Collaborate across the organization to align engineering efforts with company goals
  • Establish clear expectations and metrics for team performance
Requirements for the role include:
  • 5+ years of engineering management experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing Staff Software Engineers
  • Experience leading teams that are leveraging LLMs and AI/ML products to develop agents and tools
  • Track record of building 0-1 and shipping high-quality software products
  • Strong technical background with the ability to contribute to architectural discussions
  • Experience translating complex domains into simple, elegant technical solutions
  • A first-principles approach to problem-solving and framework-oriented thinking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
