Job Description
Zip is seeking a Software Engineer, Test II to join their Quality Engineering team. This is a remote-first opportunity for US-based employees, with an option to work in person in the Manhattan office. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, coding skills, and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment. The engineer will collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality code and application software.
Role involves:
- Owning feature-specific testing.
- Writing documentation and communicating with EMs, PMs, and Developers.
- Writing automation code and performing QA sign-off.
- Performing PR reviews and upholding best coding practices.
- Leading the Shift Left Process.
- Owning individual features from inception to release.
- Tackling interesting automation challenges and innovating within the automation space.
- Collaborating with Security and Infrastructure teams.
- Learning new technologies within Test-Infrastructure.
- Being an arbiter of key processes for Quality.
- Being the voice of Quality across the organization.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in TypeScript.
- 2-3 years of experience in Appium/Selenium/Playwright (preferably Playwright & Appium).
- At least 3 years of experience in Manual Testing.
- Demonstrated use of AI in the performance of your role.
- At least 1 year of experience in one of the key DevOps tools - Azure/GCP/Jenkins/CircleCI.
- Basic knowledge in one of the testing platforms - Browserstack/Saucelabs etc.
- At least 3 years of experience in writing Test Documentation.
- A BS in computer science or a related degree is required.
