Senior International Payroll

Job Description

Anthropic is seeking a Senior International Payroll specialist to join their Finance team in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of international payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of payroll services to employees across multiple countries. This role reports to the Head of International Accounting with a dotted line to the Head of Global Payroll.Responsibilities include:

• Executing full-cycle payroll processing for international entities including UK, Canada, Ireland, and Switzerland
• Supporting expansion of payroll operations to new countries including France, Japan, Germany, South Korea, and others
• Supporting Corporate Accounting with month-end payroll related accounting tasks and questions
• Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and employment laws across all jurisdictions
• Managing relationships with third-party payroll providers
• Responding to employee inquiries regarding international payroll matters in a timely and professional manner
• Resolving international tax notices from various tax authorities
• Collaborating with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and implement process improvements
• Assisting in preparing international payroll reports and analytics for management review
• Supporting payroll systems integration projects and process automation initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5-6+ years of experience in payroll operations, with at least 3 years in international payroll
• Proficiency in payroll processing for various compensation types
• Strong knowledge of international payroll regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with payroll journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
• Experience working with Workday HRIS and global payroll providers
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
