Principal DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Pure Storage is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to join their Corporate SRE team. This role focuses on deploying, supporting, and securing technical infrastructure within a hybrid on-premise and public cloud environment. • Maintain, optimize, and secure Windows and Linux servers.
• Expand the use of containers and serverless technologies.
• Contribute to maintaining and securing Active Directory.
• Monitor systems to meet uptime and reliability goals.
• Establish and maintain pipelines for IaC and software delivery.
• Troubleshoot, identify root causes, and provide technical support.
• Collaborate on solution engineering related to infrastructure, CI/CD, and release management.
• Participate in the development and testing of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Contribute to documentation on infrastructure and procedures.

Requirements:

• BS or BA in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Expertise with Linux administration in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise with Powershell, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Experience working in an enterprise VMware environment (vSphere, ESXi).
• Solid public cloud experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Solid experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
• Security-minded approach to systems administration.
• Experience working in a highly engineering-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with proven documentation skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority project deliverables.
• Vendor management and engagement experience.
