Principal Data Scientist

Job Description

Astera Labs is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to partner with hardware and software teams, refine problem statements, and co-develop data collection strategies. The Principal Data Scientist will leverage statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to identify issues and accelerate time-to-quality improvements. They will architect and deploy cloud-native solutions for managing data pipelines and establish business intelligence and analytics frameworks.

Role Involves:

• Partnering with hardware and software teams to align on objectives.
• Refining complex problem statements.
• Co-developing innovative data collection strategies.
• Leveraging advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.
• Architecting and deploying robust, cloud-native solutions for managing data pipelines.
• Establishing comprehensive business intelligence and analytics frameworks.

Requirements:

• Master's or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science domains.
• 8+ years of experience applying AI/ML concepts to build solutions for semiconductor, hardware or software industry.
• Familiarity with the latest cloud solutions for data storage, ETL, and analytics.
• Experience working with subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
