Staff Software Engineer

Job Description

Carbon is seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to join their team in Redwood City, California. This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days a week in the office. The Staff Software Engineer will equip customers with tools to innovate and fabricate products across various industries. They will help build applications that enable users to design, visualize, manipulate, and print digital models, as well as empower factories through automation. • Build complex web applications using modern Javascript frameworks, including React.js, Node.js, and GRPC.
• Push the limits of browser performance to provide a great user experience.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, product management, and designers.
• Own and drive projects end-to-end and influence technology and architectural decisions.
• Mentor, educate, and support those around you.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 year of experience with software development.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript (TypeScript).
• Strong experience with HTTP, HTML, CSS and web security concepts.
• Experience with a modern front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc) -- we use React.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js and NestJS.
• Experience and passion in building beautiful and complex web applications.
• Experience with the JavaScript unit testing frameworks.
• Strong communication, debugging, and problem solving skills.
