Job Description
NextEnergy Group is seeking a Commercial Manager to join WiseEnergy’s Commercial Team. The Commercial Manager will manage contracts and compliance with lender requirements for solar energy assets in the UK and Italy. This role involves managing contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing client reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Contract management (renewals, tendering, issuing notices, monitoring obligations, etc) related to individual solar farm companies (SPVs).
- Compliance against lender requirements for contracts, regulatory and insurance activities.
- Overseeing monthly, quarterly & annual client reporting to Portfolio Managers/Investment Director.
- Assisting with transformation of existing Commercial systems & processes, including implementation of contract management software, and assessing ways to improve efficiency.
- Working closely with our Finance / Technical teams on cross cutting activities where required.
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level (economics, social sciences, law are good backgrounds for the role).
- Minimum of 4-5 years experience in renewable energy space (preferably Solar).
- The right to work in the UK.
- Time management & prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages).
- Flexibility.
- Intellectual Curiosity.
- IT Literacy (at least intermediate-level Excel).
- Delivery focus.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
