Founder in Residence (DePIN Distribution) at Menyala

Menyala, a venture builder founded by Temasek, is seeking a Founder in Residence (FIR) to lead the exploration, definition, and early execution of a DePIN distribution venture. The Founder in Residence will have the opportunity to shape the concept and execution, guiding the venture from problem identification through validation, prototype, and MVP phases. They will collaborate with Menyala’s advisors, insurance experts, and technologists to test assumptions, refine product-market fit, and build a foundation for scalable growth.

The DePIN ecosystem faces a chicken-and-egg problem due to high upfront hardware costs. This role aims to create novel financing and distribution mechanisms to incentivise consumers to participate. A "Buy Now Pay Never" model, where costs are offset by future network earnings, could lower barriers to entry. Combined with services like insurance and maintenance, this could create a full-stack solution.

As an Founder-in-Residence, you'll work alongside Veteran Venture Architects, Product and Engineering teams, Industry advisors, and a network of potential customers, partners, and investors.
