Ingest - Principal Product Manager (Cloud Pipelines)

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager to join its Ingest team. This team is responsible for open-source data collection tools, focusing on Cloud-native Observability and Enterprise Security use cases. The Product Manager will drive the user experience and tooling for data collection, transformation, enrichment, and routing within cloud pipelines. They will work closely with Cloud-native Observability and Security users, integrating with industry data pipeline solutions.

Role Involves:

• Defining the vision and roadmap for Data Plane products, including OpenTelemetry, Logstash, Beats, and Elastic Agent.
• Defining the vision and roadmap for SaaS offerings around Ingest products, such as cloud pipelines and hosted collectors.
• Partnering with engineering and technical leads to prioritize the roadmap and estimate delivery timelines.
• Collaborating with downstream solution teams to understand and prioritize their needs.
• Working with Sales & Marketing teams on go-to-market strategies, messaging, and competitive analysis.
• Interfacing with customers and the community to gather feedback and usage information.
• Capturing market competitive and trend data to inform product direction.

Requirements:

• History of leading data products, working on deeply technical products in a growth-stage environment.
• Strong technical background in edge data collection or ETL for observability or security data.
• Ability to discuss technical concepts in detail.
• Experience driving strategy and executing alongside a team.
• High EQ and a low-ego approach to business.
• Experience leading product management for multiple product lines.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and a diverse client/user base.
