Job Description
Twilio is seeking a Senior Sales Specialist to join their Messaging Overlay team. This role focuses on driving commercial and operational success within strategic accounts, Twilio's largest customers. The Senior Sales Specialist will develop and execute strategies to optimize profitability, manage pricing, and provide performance reports. They will also cultivate relationships with internal partners and ensure messaging solutions meet client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive strategy to achieve optimized profitability within account territory
- Ruthlessly prioritize by identifying opportunities to maximize profitability
- Own pricing strategy and execution, working closely with routing specialists to maximize volume aggregation and account health
- Provide regular performance reports to management on sales pipeline, account status, and team performance.
- Cultivate relationships with internal partners and key stakeholders to drive cost efficiencies and quality improvements
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders and technical team to ensure that messaging solutions meet client needs and contribute to long-term customer satisfaction and retention
- Utilize deep understanding of the messaging ecosystem to support and drive success with high-value clients
- Represent Twilio and our values with customers at industry events
Requirements:
- 5+ years in sales role preferably in international telecom industry
- Highly analytical and strategic attitude with proven ability to analyze and compile large amounts of data to inform decision making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to lead meetings with customers and exceed critical metrics
- A bias for action with the ability to test and iterate on new ideas quickly with the appropriate controls and data in place to measure success and change or double down on tactics when needed.
- Comfortable working with highly technical, operational and other cross functional teams, while influencing their understanding, building supportive partnerships and driving expected outcome
