Job Description

AB InBev is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Campinas, Brazil. This role involves collaborating on technical designs, developing solutions, and ensuring the quality of new feature implementations. The engineer will work closely with the engineering team to contribute to the company's technical advancement.

The role involves:

  • Staying aligned with Engineering Managers for decentralized technical decisions.
  • Participating in high-level requirements meetings.
  • Leading and supporting the squad in making technical decisions and creating standards.
  • Suggesting new tools and technologies to solve problems.
  • Talking and elaborating ideas and raising issues for both technical and non-technical people.
  • Looking out for possible improvements, e.g., performance, user experience.
  • Guaranteeing the critical flows in at least one Value Stream level.
  • Providing technical mentoring.
  • Actively contributing to the Backend Chapter and disseminating technical knowledge/propose improvements.
  • Helping with the career development of other professional developers.
  • Facilitating communication and technical backlog alignment between squads.
  • Identifying, prioritizing, and resolving technical debts and bugs.
  • Supporting the hiring process by participating in technical interviews.

The candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field OR +5 years full-time Software Engineering work experience.
  • Solid fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
  • Expertise in at least one programming language and its main frameworks, with preference for the Python programming language.
  • Experience in Systems Architectural styles (Monolith, Plugin, SOA, Microservices, Event-driven).
  • Experience in Architecture concepts (Software design, hexagonal architecture, onion, clean architecture).
  • Experience in API and capabilities.
  • Experience in Cloud platforms and main providers.
  • Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in IAC Technologies.
  • Experience in System Modeling (desirable experience on tactical DDD).
  • Experience in Monitoring Tools, Metrics, and Observability.
  • Experience in Agile Framework.
  • Experience in DevOps culture, automation (CI/CD), and main tools.
  • Knowledge in Quality (stress tests, load, TDD, BDD).
