Job Description
Integrated Specialty Coverages (ISC), a technology and data-driven commercial insurance wholesaler, is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support their Excess and GL senior underwriting staff. This role involves administrative duties related to new and renewal accounts, risk assessment, and loss runs. The Underwriting Assistant may also assist with the computation of rates and premiums.ISC is looking for someone to:
- Assess loss history and financial conditions for risk cases.
- Collect and review documentation for risk analysis.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of complex submissions.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to finalize insurance applications.
- Gather and verify supplementary data.
- Manage inbound calls and provide customer support.
- Process accounts from quotes to policy issuance.
Requirements for this role include:
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of underwriting or related insurance experience.
- CPCU, CIC, CRIS, Property & Casualty Brokers License a plus.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong desire to learn and be flexible.
