Job Description
The ACLU is seeking a Paralegal to join their Reproductive Freedom Project. This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY, requiring in-office presence two days a week or eight days a month. The Paralegal will support litigation teams, track state legislation, and provide administrative support.
Role involves:
- Tracking and summarizing state legislation related to reproductive health care.
- Responding to requests for information about state bills and litigation.
- Monitoring and compiling media coverage of reproductive health, rights, and justice issues.
- Formatting, cite checking, and filing litigation documents in federal and state courts.
- Managing litigation documents, maintaining databases and case files.
- Assisting staff in preparing information for conferences and media.
- Managing administrative tasks such as calendar management, expensing, and travel coordination.
Requirements:
- Initiative, strong organization, and attention to detail.
- Efficiency and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
