Job Description
Industrious is seeking a Design Manager to join their Design & Construction team. This role is crucial in creating exceptional environments for customers and innovating on physical products. The Design Manager will collaborate with various teams to support the company's growth and development goals for new locations. This is a hybrid role based in New York City.

Role involves:
  • Leading the design of projects in various phases.
  • Coordinating with Real Estate and Operations to develop programming strategies.
  • Managing the creation of blocking plans and test fits.
  • Supporting the facilities team on CapEx projects.
  • Managing the specification of furniture, accessories, artwork, and greenery.
  • Ensuring Industrious product standards and guidelines are followed.
  • Collaborating with internal cross-functional partners.
  • Owning coordination of consultants and vendors.
  • Supporting the development of team and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Contributing to presentations to leadership and landlord partners.
  • Identifying design ideas, trends, and new product specifications.
  • Participating in the refinement and improvement of design guidelines and product quality.
  • Assisting in development, documentation and maintenance of design guidelines and specifications
  • Building a positive culture on our growing team and have significant input to our design vision, strategy, and execution

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture/ Interior Design.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in commercial interiors.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Understanding of building codes and accessibility standards.
  • Proficient in the development of design drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Commitment to modeling Industrious values.
  • Ability to travel within the US for project launches, company and team offsites/outings
