Job Description
Whatnot is seeking a Head of Marketing Strategy and Operations to set the operating rhythm for the Marketing team. This role involves planning, goal-setting, and supporting strategic initiatives. The Head of Marketing Strategy and Operations will partner with Marketing leads and cross-functional teams, manage relationships with Data and Finance, and oversee the Marketing budget. They will also drive standardization and automation of core marketing processes and work with Marketing leadership to launch and test new teams and functions. The ideal candidate will address operating pain points and capitalize on marketing capabilities.

Role Involves:
  • Managing cross-functional relationships with Data and Finance teams.
  • Defining and allocating the Marketing budget.
  • Developing the operating rhythm between Marketing and Categories teams.
  • Driving standardization and automation of core marketing processes and reporting.
  • Launching and testing new teams, functions, and processes.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy and operations roles.
  • Fast learner and self-starter.
  • Passion for Whatnot's mission.
  • Scrappy and flexible.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced organization.
  • Experience working with functional leaders of all levels.
  • Prior experience working with Marketing or Growth teams.
  • Business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Experience using SQL and dashboarding tools.
  • Must be within commuting distance of Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York hubs.
