Sr. Engineer, Systems- Silicon Power & Characterization

Job Description

Tenstorrent is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support power characterization and measurement across its silicon platforms. The ideal candidate will develop automation scripts, assist in setting up power measurement experiments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This on-site role, based in Toronto, Canada, offers the opportunity to gain experience in hardware-software interaction and silicon-level power analysis.Role involves:

• Developing and maintaining scripts to automate power measurement workflows.
• Setting up and performing controlled power measurements on silicon hardware in lab environments.
• Interfacing with hardware instrumentation and power management ICs.
• Collecting, analyzing, and documenting power consumption data.
• Collaborating with silicon validation, hardware, and firmware teams to debug power-related issues.
• Maintaining power lab infrastructure and ensuring accuracy of test setups.
• Analyzing data and generating reports summarizing measurement results.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLAB.
• Basic understanding of electronics, device physics, and power measurement principles.
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Data analysis and visualization experience.
• Detail-oriented with good documentation practices.
