Job Description
Tenstorrent is seeking a Sr. Staff/Principal Engineer, SI/PI to lead signal and power integrity efforts for high-speed AI computing hardware. This role is based in Toronto, Canada and requires deep expertise in high-speed interfaces. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet simulation and measurement margins for data centers, workstations, and consumer computing applications.Role involves:
- Leading SI & PI efforts for high-speed AI computing hardware.
- Managing global ODMs’ high-speed lead.
- Cooperating with package, board layout, and supply chain teams.
- Architecting, designing, and optimizing the Power Delivery Network (PDN).
- Working with Field Application Engineers to enable customer system designs.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Performing high-speed scope, TDR & VNA measurements.
- Training internal members on best SI/PI practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microwave, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in SI/PI and product design & manufacturing for computing and/or networking hardware.
- Hands-on knowledge with ADS, HFSS/3D, Sigrity (Clarity/PowerSI), Hspice or similar industry-standard simulation tools.
- Extensive knowledge of Interfaces like GDDR, LPDDR, DDR, PCIe Gen 5 & 6, Ethernet IEEE 802.3 all speeds, USB, etc.
- Experience with measurements & standards compliance procedures.
- Experience with Cadence Allegro PCB designer and/or Altium, Constraints Manager and or other PCB stack up designer tools.
