Job Description
Platform Science is seeking a Cash Application Analyst to join their team in North America. This role involves performing day-to-day cash application activities, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with ERP systems and banking platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Posting manual checks, wire transfers, and ACH deposits
- Processing credit card transactions and payments
- Researching and applying cash received from customers to the correct invoices
- Processing customer refund requests
- Reconciling general ledger accounts
- Performing daily offsets, write-offs, and reversals
- Collaborating with the Treasury and Credit & Collections teams
- Performing customer account reconciliations
- Reclassifying non-A/R receipts
- Ensuring unapplied and unidentified cash are accounted for
- Performing month-end and quarter-end responsibilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a multi-currency cash application team
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting standards
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures and general ledger accounts
- Experience with ERP systems, payment gateways, and banking platforms
- Proficiency in data entry and attention to detail
- Strong analytical, math, and account reconciliation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
