Platform Science is seeking a Cash Application Analyst to join their team in North America. This role involves performing day-to-day cash application activities, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with ERP systems and banking platforms.
Responsibilities:
Posting manual checks, wire transfers, and ACH deposits
Processing credit card transactions and payments
Researching and applying cash received from customers to the correct invoices
Processing customer refund requests
Reconciling general ledger accounts
Performing daily offsets, write-offs, and reversals
Collaborating with the Treasury and Credit & Collections teams
Performing customer account reconciliations
Reclassifying non-A/R receipts
Ensuring unapplied and unidentified cash are accounted for
Performing month-end and quarter-end responsibilities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-5 years of experience in a multi-currency cash application team
Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting standards
Knowledge of general accounting procedures and general ledger accounts
Experience with ERP systems, payment gateways, and banking platforms
Proficiency in data entry and attention to detail
Strong analytical, math, and account reconciliation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
