Bynder is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Barcelona. Bynder's platform enables teams to manage digital assets by providing solutions that embrace the way people want to work. The company has over 500 employees across eight global offices and serves over 3,700 organizations.

The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and DevOps Engineers to develop data pipelines and build self-serve data tools for internal stakeholders and customers. The role involves improving the data architecture, applying data governance, and ensuring data quality throughout the organization. This role offers opportunity to improve Bynder product, grow customer base and provide insights for stakeholders.

Role involves:

  • Improving Data architecture.
  • Develop, scale, maintain and deploy our data platform infrastructure in the cloud.
  • Applying Data Lineage and Governance throughout the organisation.
  • Advocating for Data Quality throughout the organisation.
  • Support the entire Product & Engineering organisation.
  • Optimise the cost of managing and storing data.
  • Develop custom ETL pipelines, detect anomalies, and create optimised aggregations for analysis and dash boarding.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Data Engineering experience.
  • Experience in Designing Data Platforms and taking architectural decisions
  • Experience in Applying Data Governance and Data Lineage best practices.
  • Experience in Developing data flows for the processing of data at scale.
  • Experience in Using industry standard data pipelining tools (Spark, Kafka).
  • Experience in Working with AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, etc.).
  • Experience in Using data/task orchestration tools (Airflow).
  • Experience in Cloud computing-based data cloud solutions (Snowflake).
  • Experience in Using infrastructure-as-code solutions (Terraform).
  • Critical thinking mindset and the courage to speak your mind
  • Great communication skills in English
