Commercial Counsel

Job Description

Cresta is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its legal team. This role offers the opportunity to shape legal processes within a high-growth AI company. The Commercial Counsel will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Security teams to support commercial contracting and manage legal risks.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate, draft, and manage commercial agreements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline the contract lifecycle.
• Provide legal advice on data privacy, security, and customer compliance.
• Build and refine internal playbooks and processes.
• Support compliance, policy development, and legal operations initiatives.
• Support a variety of legal matters beyond commercial work.

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 2–5 years of legal experience in negotiating complex commercial technology agreements.
• In-house experience at a SaaS or AI company preferred.
• Understanding of data privacy and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Comfortable operating autonomously while collaborating across teams.
• Must be willing to work Pacific time zone.
