Job Description
Legend Biotech is seeking a Metrology Support Specialist to join their Technical Operations team in Raritan, NJ. This role focuses on providing metrology support for instrument and mechanical system scheduling, planning, and work order management within a cGMP Commercial Cell Therapy Manufacturing environment. The specialist will collaborate with various Technical Operation functions to ensure safe and compliant manufacturing operations, supporting personalized cell therapy production. This position is crucial in the build and ramp-up of clinical production and facility approval for commercial launch and sustained production.Role involves:
  • Assisting in scheduling, planning, and organizing calibration activities.
  • Providing backup to maintenance support specialists.
  • Supporting CMMS reports for scheduling and preventing overdue work.
  • Handling administrative support activities for the facilities & engineering department.
  • Supporting scheduling for metrology, facility, and project initiatives.
  • Utilizing good documentation practices (GDP) for all work performed.
  • Supporting maintenance goals and continuous improvement activities.
  • Supporting metrology-driven quality events.
  • Ensuring regulatory and job training compliance.
Requirements include:
  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biological/Biochemical Science/Bioengineering or a High School diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Trade / Technical School Certification or Military equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Experience with CMMS or similar maintenance management system.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling of metrology activities.
  • Proficiency in more than one craft.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceuticals or related industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and strong communication skills.
