Vice President, Strategic Finance

Job Description

Affirm is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Finance to lead its FP&A function. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally and leverage quantitative insights to enhance decision-making throughout the organization. The VP of Strategic Finance will be responsible for managing the company’s budget and financial planning processes, conducting financial analyses, providing financial guidance to business partners, and strategically investing to accelerate business growth. What this role involves:

• Maintaining the financial model and forecasts.
• Overseeing loan volume forecasting and compensation planning.
• Driving annual and monthly financial planning processes.
• Providing budget guidance to senior executives.
• Developing key metrics to support hiring, expansion, and profitability goals.
• Managing a high-performance team.
• Developing programs and processes for tracking and managing budgets.

What company is looking for:

• 15+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance.
• Prior FP&A experience at a later-stage private or public company.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry or high-growth environment.
• Understanding of a lending P&L and debt capital markets.
