Software Engineer, CI/CD

Job Description

Vercel is seeking a Software Engineer to join their CI/CD team. This role is crucial to the company, as it involves working on the infrastructure that powers millions of builds daily. The engineer will focus on improving performance, enhancing reliability, and evolving the systems that developers rely on for fast, iterative workflows. This position offers a blend of product thinking and deep systems work, serving both internal teams and Vercel's global developer community.Role involves:

• Building high-performance microservices.
• Participating in an on-call rotation for the Vercel build pipeline.
• Improving the Deployments user interface.
• Enhancing performance, reliability, and developer experience of CI/CD.
• Improving the developer experience for both small projects and large monorepos.
• Staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in CI/CD technologies.
• Engaging with the open-source community.
• Writing clean, efficient, tested, and well-documented code.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience building full-stack applications.
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience building intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks like React or Svelte.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with modern frontend development tools.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Opinions about how to architect scalable codebases.
