Mozilla Corporation is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join their Advertising Organization. This role involves working with a team of data and non-data professionals to understand and drive the future of the internet. The Data Science team collaborates with various departments, including product, engineering, finance, and marketing, to empower decision-making and create impactful data products.
What this role involves: - Defining and implementing statistical approaches and algorithms for advertising technologies.
- Generating data-informed insights and communicating them to partners.
- Supporting data collection and building data artifacts (dashboards, tables, analyses, and models).
- Designing interventions and experiments to support feature development.
- Collaborating with other data scientists to develop consistent approaches to metrics and measurement.
- Strengthening the wider data team through mentorship and improvements in how Mozilla works.
Requirements: - 6+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, visualizing, and building data products in an industry setting, with experience in the Revenue/Digital Advertising space.
- Experience with forecasting, causal inference, and optimization methods on large-scale data.
- Experience building business cases and solving ambiguous commercial/revenue opportunities.
- Excellent command of SQL and a OOP-heavy language (Python preferred).
- Knowledge of software design principles.
- Strong communication skills to craft impactful data narratives.
