Farel, a company reinventing the aviation industry with software, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer. This role is a remote, full-time position with the potential to grow into an AI Tech Lead. The ideal candidate will understand how to build intelligent systems that solve real problems.
What this role involves:
- Exploring how AI can bring real value to the product.
- Building PoCs and MVPs for AI-powered features like chatbots and dynamic pricing tools.
- Automating repetitive workflows.
- Shipping fast, useful features with real user impact.
- Influencing the architecture, tech stack, and development approach.
- Growing into the AI Tech Lead role by building a team and processes.
Requirements:
- Solid backend experience with Kotlin or Java, including Spring Boot.
- Strong engineering fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Independence and the ability to turn an idea into a working feature.
- Curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to learn about ML.
- A pragmatic mindset to determine when AI is the right tool.
- Clean code, even for MVPs.
